The only thing that matters

In a time of intentional and deliberate seeking of The Lord’s direction and provision for our lives and future, He spoke to both of us, giving us very specific direction, accompanied by His peace, faith and hope(even in the face of personal sacrifice).

We asked. He spoke. We trusted and obeyed.

He is faithful to finish this.

As with any significant expression of faith and courage, well meaning counsel comes. Especially when the enduring of suffering is witnessed. No body likes to see this. And though there is often elements of wisdom involved in each thought, they are not ultimately what our Heavenly Father spoke.

I take note that I rarely am asked, “what did The Lord say?” Is it because His voice does not have the prominence as it has In generations past? We are so used to making decisions in life based on circumstances, feelings, and acceptable norms.

But we want to know the thoughts of God and the move of His person upon our lives. Power is intrinsic of the Follower of Christ after all.

For this is the only thing that matters.

We are on this path.

We will not ‘look back’( like Lot’s wife).

We will not curse/speak against what The Lord has blessed (like Balaam). I have had some say that they are praying for us to not make this move, and for us to remain. I would caution anyone in speaking against what The Lord Himself has spoken and endorsed.

We will not settle only part way (like Terah).

It’s is time for the mystics to become highly practical and pragmatic; who will embody the voice of God?!

Father in Heaven, breathe upon our hearts and ignite the flame.

Sean
