FORMIDABLE Wayfinding

What is moving in you right now?

Fear? Hope? Restlessness? Desire? Confusion?
Maybe a sense that God is inviting you into something, but you're not quite sure what.

That is where Wayfinding begins.

Wayfinding is about learning to recognize where you are, paying attention to the terrain of your inner life, and discerning where God may be present in it.

I’m not here to tell you what to do or direct your decisions.

I walk alongside you as a travel companion — helping you notice, listen, test, discern, and respond.

This is rooted in the ancient Christian practice of spiritual direction, particularly the Ignatian tradition of discernment: learning to recognize the movements within us, what draws us toward greater faith, freedom, love, and life in God, and what pulls us away.

Along the way, we also learn practical tools drawn from the ancient Christian tradition: prayer, Scripture, silence and solitude, the Examen, reflection, and other practices of discernment.

These are not simply exercises for a session. They become skills for learning to pay attention to God in everyday life.

Like finding your way through wilderness, the goal isn’t simply to be handed directions.

It is to learn the terrain, recognize the landmarks, and become increasingly attentive to the voice and movement of God for yourself.

That is Formidable Wayfinding.

What is moving in you, and where might God be in it?
